U.are.U Online offers customers of online service providers a secure
and convenient platform to access services and information. It allows
access to accounts and transactions by verifying a user's identity
with their fingerprint by integrating the latest generation of award
winning fingerprint recognition technology from DigitalPersona.
This can easily be done by enabling a site using the U.are.U
Online Service Integration Pack and notifying customers
of the new security services. Users who order the improved service
will be sent a U.are.U Online Client Kit. An additional advantage
of outsourcing authentication to U.are.U Online is that it enhances
a service with state-of-the-art capabilities without interfering
with engineering schedules. It also reduces support costs and does
not require any additional technical administration to implement.
The
U.are.U Sensor is ergonomically designed with a USB connector
that is placed near a computer, ready to confirm an individual's
identity each time they log on to a U.are.U Online enabled site.
Designed and tested extensively, this plug and play, rotation invariant
sensor can even read fingerprints upside down. The Sensor is compatible
with U.are.U Pro software and works with Internet Explorer and Netscape.
The
U.are.U Online Service Integration Pack allows web developers
to easily and securely enable their site with U.are.U Online. The
integration kit includes everything needed to incorporate U.are.U
Online services and some sample code.
The U.are.U Online service provides a secure, scalable service for
user authentication and a private, 3rd-party 'safety deposit box'
for anonymous storage of the user credentials (fingerprint templates).
The servers are hosted at a secure network operating center with
strict security controls.
U.are.U
Online's Biometric Authentication Service assures the ultimate protection
of personal biometric data along with providing a high-impact security
option.
